Can our data stay in Canada?
Azure operates Canadian data centre regions, and workloads can be deployed to them where data residency in Canada is a requirement or preference. Econix designs region selection into the environment plan from the start. Specific residency behaviours vary by Azure service, and Econix identifies those details for the services you use.
Do we have to move everything to Azure at once?
No, and you usually should not. Econix migrations are generally phased — starting with backup, disaster recovery or a contained workload, then moving further as confidence and skills build. Hybrid connectivity keeps Azure and remaining on-premises systems working together throughout.
How do we keep Azure costs under control?
With structure that unmanaged environments lack: budgets and alerts, resource tagging with named ownership, right-sized resources, reserved capacity where usage justifies it and eligibility allows, and scheduled reviews. Econix builds this governance in during implementation and monitors it as part of ongoing support.
